Setting Assistance
If
you need assistance with browser settings, configuration, or plug-ins,
scroll down to the area for which you would like assistance.
Cookies
To enable Cookies:
Netscape Navigator
- Version 4.5: In your browser: Select Edit, then
Preferences, then Advanced, then select either the "Accept all
cookies" or the "Accept only cookies that get sent back to the
originating server", depending upon your preference.
Microsoft Internet Explorer
- Version 5:In your browser: Select Tools, then
Internet Options, then Security, then Internet, then Custom, then
scroll down and select either "Prompt" or "Enable" for both "Allow
per-session cookies (not stored)" and "Allow cookies that are
stored on your computer"
- Version 4.x: In your browser: Select View, then
Internet Options, then select the Advanced tab. Scroll down past
Security to the section called Cookies. Select Always accept cookies.
- Version 3.x: In your browser: Select View, then
Options, then Advanced, and select the box "always warn before
accepting cookies"
JavaScript
To enable JavaScript:
Netscape Navigator
- Version 4.5: In your browser: Select Edit, then
Preferences, then Advanced, then select "Enable JavaScript".
- Version 3.x: In your browser: Select Options,
then Network Preferences, then the Languages Tab and make sure
that "Enable Java" and "Enable JavaScript" are selected.
- Version 2.x: You need to upgrade your browser
to Netscape 3.0 or greater.
Microsoft Internet Explorer
- Version 5: In your browser: Select Tools, then
Internet Options, then Security, then Internet, then Custom, then
scroll down and select either "Prompt" or "Enable" for both "sScripting
of Java Applets" and "Active Scripting"
- Version 4.x: In your browser: Select View, Internet
Options, then select the Advanced tab. Scroll down past Security
to JavaVM. Make sure JavaJIT compiler enabled is selected.
- Version 3.x: In your browser: Select View, Options,
then select the Security tab. Make sure Enable Java programs is
selected under Active Content.
Java
To enable Java:
Netscape Navigator
- Version 4.x: In your browser: Select Edit, then
Preferences, then Advanced, then select "Enable Java".
- Version 3.x: In your browser: Select Options,
then Network Preferences, then the Languages Tab and make that
"Enable Java" and "Enable JavaScript" are not selected.
- Version 2.x: You need to upgrade your browser
to Netscape 3.0 or greater.
Microsoft Internet Explorer
- Version 5: In your browser: Select Tools, then
Internet Options, then Security, then Internet, then Custom, then
scroll down and select either "Medium Safety", "Low Safety", or
"High Safety" for Java permissions. High Safety is recommended.
- Version 4.x: In your browser: Select View, Internet
Options, then select the Advanced tab. Scroll down past Security
to JavaVM. Make sure JavaJIT compiler enabled is selected.
- Version 3.x: In your browser: Select View, Options,
then select the Security tab. Make sure Enable Java programs is
selected under Active Content.
RealVideo
To download Real Player,
click here. You can select either the Real Player G2 or the Real Player Plus
G2, however you must purchase the Plus version while the regular
version is free. Follow the instructions on the Real Networks site to install the software, and then you may continue.
